The Ladder (version 2): New and Improved

Fees pile up inside each rung. Push the price through the top and they’re yours.

How to play — four ways to earn
RUNG

Own a rung. Push the price through a rung's top and it is yours. It pays you that rung's trading fees — but only while the price is inside it.

KING

Be the king. Hold the highest rung anyone has taken and the pot pays you while the price stays above it. Take a higher rung and you take the crown.

STAKE

Stake. Buy any amount and stake it — no minimum, no lockup. Stakers always share the pot, and take a bigger cut while the ladder holds its high mark.

KEEPER

Poke the pot. Anyone can hit settle below and take 1% of whatever that call pays out.

Capture a rung, claim trading fees. A rung pays its owner while the price is in it.

Rungs can get stolen. If the price drops below the rung's top, ownership shifts to whoever brings it back up.

The price can fall. This is an experiment: you can lose money.

Stake LDR2 and your share of trading fees builds up in the contract. Sweeping it in buys more LDR2 with it, and every stake grows — including yours. There is nothing to claim and nothing is ever paid out in ETH. Anyone can press Sweep, for everyone at once; the fees are safe until someone does. Unstake whenever you like.

Burn v1 LDR for a permanent share of v2’s trading fees. You get vLDR, which earns 10% of every claimed pile, forever, and can be sold.

Your v1 is destroyed and cannot come back.

Contracts ·

Every claim in how it works is checkable against these. The contracts are immutable — no owner, no upgrade, no pause.

Contract addresses

THELADDER.FUN (ticker LDR2) is deployed on Ethereum mainnet. All seven contracts are verified on Etherscan. They are immutable: no owner, no admin, no upgrade path, no pause.

Buy however you like. This is the thing v2 changes. In v1 a rung was only awarded if your swap carried an extra piece of calldata, so a buy through the normal Uniswap front end won nothing — on day one 86% of crossings were forfeited, and on day two exactly one swap in 918 reached the pool a way that could win. v2 credits the wallet that sent the transaction, so any router works and no second step is needed. Two honest exceptions: if you buy through a smart account or a sponsored relayer the credit follows the bundler, and a contract buying for pooled users credits whoever pokes it. Both are fixed by passing your address as hookData.
